However, even the ones that are marked as "organic natural products" are still full of harmful chemicals like sulfates and parabens that can damage your tresses. Not to mention they are too expensive. But did you know that DIY versions can achieve the same result that supermarket products claim to do? Making your own natural hair care products will not only simplify your life and health. If you are currently suffering from dry scalp and dandruff, consider making this ginger dandruff-blasting shampoo. I know you have tried different brands and varieties of dandruff shampoo by now but not all of them are super effective and may not be enough, but this recipe can do wonders for your scalp. You only need:

1 tablespoon of grated ginger root

1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Very few ingredients, right? The procedure is also very easy. You just have to stir the root into the sesame oil and add a splash of lemon juice. Apply the mixture to your scalp while massaging it gently. Rinse it out after about 30 minutes or you can let it dry and shampoo your hair and rinse well. Repeat the process three times a week until your scalp is free from dandruff.

Say goodbye to heavy, lotion-based creams and butter that only make your tresses sticky and soggy but not moisturized. Here are the ingredients that you will be needing:

1 cup of melted coconut oil

1 cup of melted shea butter

Just mix the two ingredients together and keep the mixture in the refrigerator until it hardens. When it is ready to use, apply to your damp or dry hair. This natural hair care product can revitalize your dry hair.

Curl-Popping Clay Rinse

Reduce frizz and make your Type 4 curls pop with this simple and natural recipe. This can also improve the definition. You only need:

1-3 cups of warm water

1 cup of pure clay powder

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon olive oil

an empty shampoo bottle

Get the empty shampoo bottle and funnel each ingredient one by one into it. Shake the bottle until all the ingredients are mixed well. When done, apply the mixture to your unwashed hair and massage gently. Let it sit for about 20 minutes and massage your hair again for another ten minutes. Rinse your hair properly with lukewarm water.

Baking Soda Shampoo

Your regular shampoo may contain harmful ingredients that can make your hair dry and damage. Try this baking soda shampoo every few weeks to get rid of all the dirt and dust. The ingredients that you will be needed in making this recipe are:

1 cup of warm water

2 tablespoons of baking soda

Pour the baking soda into the water and wait until it dissolves. Apply the mixture throughout your hair and scalp while massaging your scalp gently. This also ensures that your scalp will be cleaned completely. Make sure to apply some deep conditioner to your hair after you did the process as the baking soda can make your hair brittle.
